Testimonials

Brook Hollow feels like the opposite of a crowded lesson program. The instruction is thoughtful, the horses are well-schooled, and I always leave understanding exactly what to work on next. It’s challenging in the best way.

Jon Kingston

My daughter’s confidence changed in a way I didn’t expect. The teaching is structured and calm, and you can tell the horses are chosen for the job. It feels professional and safe without feeling intimidating

Katie Bittendor

I came in wanting a stronger foundation, not just ‘ride around.’ The program is detail-oriented and kind, and the progress has been measurable. It’s clear there’s a long-term plan here, not random lessons.

Brook Hollow Equestrian FAQ

What ages do you accept for lessons?

Our lesson program is for riders ages 10+. This helps ensure students have the physical coordination and attention span needed for safe, productive instruction.

Do you offer beginner lessons?

Yes, depending on availability and fit. We focus on a strong foundation, safety, and correct basics from day one.

What disciplines do you teach?

Our instruction is dressage-based, with an emphasis on correct position, fundamentals, and horsemanship that supports any long-term riding goals.

Do you offer an introductory lesson?

Yes. We start with an introductory lesson to understand your background, goals, and learning style, then recommend the best next step.

How do I know if your program is a good fit?

Brook Hollow is best for riders who want a structured, calm, and progressive program. If you’re looking for a casual drop-in experience or a “just let me canter around” situation, we may not be the right match and that’s okay.

How often do students typically ride?

Most riders progress best with consistent weekly lessons. We can discuss the right cadence based on your goals and availability.

Do you offer horse leases?

Yes, when available. Leases are ideal for motivated riders who want more consistency and responsibility, with support and clear expectations.

Can I lease if I’m not currently a student?

Typically, leases are reserved for riders already in the program or those who complete an introductory lesson first. Fit and horsemanship standards matter.

Do you offer boarding?

Yes, limited full-care boarding is available for approved owners. We prioritize a professional, well-managed environment and a high standard of horse care.

What does “full-care” include?

Full-care generally means daily feeding and routine care handled by the barn. Specific inclusions can vary, so we confirm details during the inquiry process.

Do you accept all horses for boarding?

Not always. We prioritize horses and owners that align with the program’s standards, safety practices, and overall barn environment.

What should I wear/bring to my first lesson?

Wear long pants and a boot with a small heel. ASTM/SEI-approved helmets are required. If you don’t have one yet, ask us what we recommend before your first ride.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’ll share the current policy when you book. In general, we ask for reasonable notice so we can manage instructor time and scheduling fairly.

How do I get started?

Use the form to request an introductory lesson. Share your riding background and goals, and we’ll recommend the best next step.
